A new framework to think about life changes, time for reflection inbetween sessions and discussion opportunities within the group.

Learning about the principles of human givens plus the interactions / connections of the group itself.

Giving me tools to work with and understand.

Reinforcement of knowledge acquired from reading.

Learning and understanding my needs and those of other people and the resources we have.

Learning about how people think / work and then relating it to situations in my own life. It was great to meet others who think similar to myself.

Common knowledge and awareness of the human givens approach by each member.

A clearer understanding of our needs as humans.

What did you find the most useful aspect of the workshop?

I would prefer the sessions to be a bit longer. E.g. extra ½ hour for a break plus informal relationship building.

Can't think of anything.

Sweets. (I think this is an “in-joke” because the group had a predeliction for chocolate - which we tried to satisfy! - Alec)

Houndout on needs and 'our' resources.

What aspect of the workshop could be improved – & how?

Recommendations

Provides a modern scientific(ish) approach to human problems through needs not being met. Groudbreaking!

Accessible language, clear ideas and principles, applicable to every issue I am currently challenged by. Welcoming and comfortable group.

It will raise awareness of the needs we have and how we can try to help ourselves when things might seem out of control.

Thought provoking, stimulating, enjoyable, safe environment to consider thinking differently.

It makes you rethink how you think and what you really need.

Interesting to those who value people more than outcomes.

That it's great to meet a group of people and be able to discuss and listen to their ideas / opinions. The human givens is about our basic needs. It's not complicated!
